Jo and Aled had inherited an awkward kitchen space when they purchased their home in Llanishen, Cardiff. The rear extension was a great size but, for some reason, the original owners failed to remove the old boiler room that was once part of the original rear elevation. They'd literally built a new extension around the boiler room. This was incredibly limiting, so the decision was made to remove the inconvenient structure and make good where needed. Unfortunately, that meant replacing the steel beam that spanned the rear opening.

This sort of work can be daunting and we would never recommend taking this on as a DIY project. But our team of professionals, working along side Cardiff's planning officials, made this transformation look easy. The result is an outstanding, open plan kitchen that will serve this young and busy family for many years.

The new kitchen itself consists of Pronorm X-Line and Y-Line cabinetry in Midnight Blue Ultra Matt with a light grey island. There are also splashes of Oak Sepia, which add texture and detail to open shelving and the breakfast bar. The appliances are also of a high standard. The ovens are Caple's Sense range that offer great looks, smart functionality and host of cooking programmes. The hob is the NOVY Easy Pro recirculation 1861. This hob features a powerful extractor built into the surface, which recirculates the air via a robust and effective filter. Finally, the sink features the fabulous Quooker Fusion Square boiling water tap. All together making this a dream kitchen that will stand the test of time.
