A great bathroom design should meet both the practical and stylistic needs of the customer. Ample storage, good lighting with the crucial fixtures and fittings all play their part. Making the bathroom a place you’ll want to spend time in.

However, our clients need more than just a practical solution. They don’t want a “cookie cutter” approach. They ask us to create a “feeling” that is unique and personal to them. This bathroom project is a perfect example. The number one request was the sense of relaxation  whenever they walked into the room. They wanted to experience a sense of calm and serenity. A sanctuary away from the chaos of everyday living.

With that in mind, we went for an earthy palette. A reminder of the natural world outside. Subtle, stone effect wall tiles with warm tones were selected for the wet areas. With the floor to ceiling application  providing a calming appearance with water tight functionality.

For the floor, a wood effect ceramic plank was chosen to bring a feeling of nature to the space. The decision was made to go with a darker tone, adding contrast and helping the wall tiles to stand out even more.

With such a neutral look, the choice of brassware was wide. Black, Brushed Steel, Bronze or Brass would all have worked. In the end, our clients opted for a simple chrome finish on high quality items.

Storage is provided by a large vanity unit with matching wall hung cabinet. These two pieces of furniture complement each other perfectly. The vanity unit has an integrated sink above a double drawer construction. The sculpted drawers offer ample storage without interfering with the hidden plumbing.

The light paint applied to the surrounding walls has a hint of pink, which softens the overall feel of the room, giving the whole space a clean, fresh feel.
