Galley kitchen transformation
Mr and Mrs Arnold live in Whitchurch, Cardiff. Their original kitchen was only 8 years old but they hated it. It looked jumbled, badly designed and out of date. It did’t take into account the quirky features the room presented. Two bathroom waste pipes in the kitchen needed to be hidden. The previous designer’s ‘solution’ was to ‘hide’ both with more furniture. This wasn’t the Your Space Living approach. We created a false wall with built in book shelves to deal with one pipe and a simple boxing to cover the other pipe. This enabled us to keep all the storage units at base level and eliminate the cluttered feeling of the previous design. The Schuller units in Nova White blended beautifully with the Corian Warm grey worktops. The Corian mixa sink adds a touch of class, brilliant if you wanted to include a hot tap.

Before
The difference between the new kitchen and its predecessor could not be more apparent. The old version was dated and cluttered. It didn't take Mr and Mrs Arnold long to grow tired of it. It was a perfect example of cramming cabinets into a room for the sake of it without taking into account how the room fits with the clients desires.
