Mr and Mrs Knowles discovered Your Space Living during a basic Google search for “Kitchen Designers in Cardiff”. This search presented them with a number of options, each one fully scrutinised before moving forward.

The starting point was an original kitchen that had been in place for well over a decade and nearing the end of its life. It was located in it’s own room, partitioned from a separate den and music room. The plan was to maintain the status-quo and simply replace the kitchen cabinets in a “rip out and replace” project.

We don’t do “rip out and replace”, we do “redesign and enhance”. One look out of the rear window led to a conversation about spectacular views and the benefits of open plan interiors that made the most of the location and the natural surroundings.

After a comprehensive design process, it was decided that the partition wall between the old kitchen and the music room would be removed to create an open plan space. In the process, we’ve maximised the natural light and views that make this kitchen so special.

The kitchen itself is made to the highest specification. Our hand made cabinets feature a solid wood doors and drawer fronts from our Classic Shaker collection. The painted finish is Pantry Blue, whilst the cabinet interiors are the highest quality oak effect. We’ve maximised the storage and included practical lemans pullout systems in the corner cabinets. Whilst the integrated fridge freezer offers even more style and functionality.

The worktop material is Dekton Rem. This is a resin free material that replicates real stone like no other surface on the market. It’s both heat and scratch resistant and offers an extended warrantee for exceptional peace of mind.

Kitchen functionality has been enhanced with the full featured Rangemaster Oven with induction hob, as well as the ever popular Quooker boiling tap with the additional CUBE system for filtered chilled and sparkling water.

This is now a wonderful kitchen and Mr and Mrs Knowles are delighted with the result. They love their new space and we’ve loved being part of the process. We’ll miss seeing those views everyday, so we are incredibly grateful to have these photos on hand to remind us of a wonderful experience and a job well done.
